Background InformationCD129 serves as the high affinity α subunit of IL-9 receptor (IL-9R α). It associates with CD132, the common γ chain shared by receptors of many different cytokines. CD129 is expressed at low levels by T and B cells, blood cell progenitors, eosinophils, mast cells, epithelial cells, muscle cells and neurons. Its signaling (through JAK/STAT pathways) results in proliferative and anti-apoptotic response, which is critical e.g. for intrathymic T cell development and survival of various cell types. The gene for CD129 is located at the pseudoautosomal regions of X and Y chromosomes and it may be related with the development of asthma.
Storage BufferThe reagent is provided in azide-free phosphate buffered saline (PBS) solution, pH ≈7.4; 0.2 µm filter sterilized. Endotoxin level is less than 0.01 EU/µg of the protein, as determined by the LAL test.
StorageAvoid prolonged exposure to light. Store in the dark at 2-8°C. Do not freeze.
StabilityDo not use after expiration date stamped on vial label.
